Middle Java developer

Description

Our Customer is a global supplier of information systems to the travel and transport industry. The customer’s system is a tried and tested solution that provides the 24/7 reliability required of mission critical applications.  The system is an integrated system designed specifically for passenger vessel operators providing all aspects of booking, ticketing, port processing, and on-board services coupled with a full back office suite covering the marketing, accounting, and administration functions.

Responsibilities:

  • Development, support, and maintenance of applications 
  • Write new program code
  • Participation in the preparation of technical specifications and functional descriptions 
  • Work with a team in Agile environment 
  • Perform other related duties as required

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of commercial experience in Java (up to Java 8)
  • Proficient in OOP, OOD.
  • Solid knowledge of Spring Boot, MongoDb, Swagger, Oracle SQL, REST
  • TCP/IP & networking, experience with TCP-based protocols
  • Good knowledge of at least one RDMS or NoSQL systems, SQL
  • Hands-on experience with Linux based operations systems, Bash
  • Proficiency with Git, Jira
  • At least Upper-intermediate English, both spoken and written

Desired skills

  • Experience with RabbitMq, Ansible, Quartz
  • Experience integration with hardware
  • Knowledge of Spring Integrations framework
